I've listened to the baby proofer guy . I know exactly what I can do . My buddy and I will build our own gate . It will look great ! We will save time and money as well , and we will show were every bit as good as a professional . Maybe even better . Doesn't take a rocket scientist to do this stuff . Just need some screws maybe nails and some wood . Ok spent our entire weekend building this gate . ( Hmm ) Wood was more expensive then I thought . Spent about 200.00 can't believe it was so expensive . Well our ballist match anyways can't beat that . Although this gate weighs a ton . Anchors couldn't hold it . Put about 30 big nails and a 2x4 on the wall to hold it . Darn that didn't work either . My wall is ruined ! Maybe it would have been cheaper and eaiser in the long run to let the baby proofer guy do it . This actually happened . I am not saying that some individuals aren't capable of building nice gates . To be honest I saw some a cabinet maker made that were gorgeous . He was extremely talented . That situation was the acception to the rule . Gates that are hand made have not been tested or certified . There is no protection if something happens . Latches need to be easy for adults but not toddlers .
